We hire for judgment, intellectual seriousness, and the ability to write clearly under pressure. Pedigree matters but does not substitute for ability. We are equally interested in candidates from elite Nigerian and international law schools and in candidates whose backgrounds are less conventional but whose work product distinguishes them.

Legal analysis is necessary but not sufficient. We hire lawyers who can move from the technical question to the client recommendation.
