Responsibilities
What you'll do.
- Contribute to Energy & Resources Briefs and Reports under senior analyst direction.
- Maintain structured coverage of upstream production data, refining capacity build-outs, downstream product markets, and energy-transition policy across coverage jurisdictions.
- Monitor and analyse NUPRC, NNPC, EGPC, Sonangol, and other African NOC commercial disclosures and policy frameworks.
- Develop sector-specific source networks — refining-sector commercial principals, regulatory engagement leads, transition-policy analysts.
- Support client engagements where energy-sector specialist input is required.
Requirements
What we look for.
- 2–5 years of energy-sector analytical experience — investment banking, energy consulting, integrated oil and gas, energy regulator, or energy-focused intelligence.
- Working familiarity with at least one of: upstream commercial frameworks, refining-sector economics, downstream product markets, or energy-transition policy.
- Quantitative analytical capability: refining margin modelling, sovereign-revenue analysis, capacity utilisation analysis.
- Demonstrated written analytical output relevant to energy markets.
Qualifications
Educational & professional credentials.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's preferred.
- Energy-sector certifications (CFA Energy concentration, Petroleum Economist programmes) considered.
