Responsibilities
What you'll do.
- Lead documentation architecture engagements for institutional clients across regulated industries.
- Design docs-as-code ecosystems: Git-based workflows, structured authoring (DITA/XML), CI/CD documentation pipelines, single-source publishing.
- Build audit-ready evidentiary documentation infrastructure: control narratives, integrated data dictionaries, schema provenance diagrams, regulatory response packages.
- Implement documentation governance frameworks calibrated to client scale, regulatory exposure, and operational complexity.
- Lead client-side documentation team enablement: standards, templates, training, governance workflows.
- Contribute to ELDR's published documentation and governance research.
Requirements
What we look for.
- 8–15 years of enterprise documentation, technical writing, or documentation architecture experience.
- Working familiarity with structured authoring (DITA/XML, Markdown), docs-as-code workflows, and major CMS/CCMS platforms.
- Direct experience in regulated industries: financial services, healthcare/life sciences, aerospace/defence, public sector.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear, defensible documentation.
Qualifications
Educational & professional credentials.
- Bachelor's degree in technical communications, computer science, English, or related field.
- Senior credentials: STC Senior Member, STC Fellow, or equivalent professional standing.
